چکیده

People-counting data can be used in building-control systems to improve comfort and space management applications optimize building space. In this work, we consider a combi-sensor with single-pixel thermopile passive infrared sensor for people counting. We first develop signal model object temperature measurements under multiple occupancy. then propose counting method based on: cumulative sum (CUSUM) change detection the signal, forming count estimate using likelihoods of differential mean detected changes, decision fusion an vacancy sensor. The proposed is evaluated generated developed as well experimental from cell office/meeting room environment. obtain average error 0.11 0.19 90% instants respectively when considering 15 minute windows simulated datasets.

Understanding Thermopile Infrared

The thermocolumn or thermopile comprises a series of thermoelements, each element being a thin wire made of two materials of different thermal activity. When a temperature difference occurs between the two ends of a wire, an electrical tension thermotension, develops. Connecting several thermoelements in series adds together the thermotension of each element, producing a useful electrical outpu...

Mid-infrared single-photon counting.

We report a procedure to detect mid-infrared single photons at 4.65 microm by means of a two-stage scheme based on sum-frequency generation, by using a periodically poled lithium niobate nonlinear crystal and a silicon avalanche photodiode. An experimental investigation shows that, in addition to a high timing resolution, this technique yields a detection sensitivity of 1.24 pW with 63 mW of ne...

Optimal fine ϕ-slicing for single-photon-counting pixel detectors

The data-collection parameters used in a macromolecular diffraction experiment have a strong impact on data quality. A careful choice of parameters leads to better data and can make the difference between success and failure in phasing attempts, and will also result in a more accurate atomic model. The selection of parameters has to account for the application of the data in various phasing met...

Single-pixel infrared and visible microscope

Microscopy is an essential tool in a huge range of research areas. Until now, microscopy has been largely restricted to imaging in the visible region of the electromagnetic spectrum. Here we present a microscope system that uses single-pixel imaging techniques to produce images simultaneously in the visible and shortwave infrared. We apply our microscope to the inspection of various objects, in...

Infrared Thermopile Temperature Measurement Technique in Microwave Heating Systems

Temperature measurement in microwave systems is essential for thermally driven processes, namely, catalytic reactions and ceramic sintering. Although, the application of direct thermometry methods, namely, thermocouples, have been commonly articulated in the available literature, however, contacted temperature measurement mechanisms have aroused concerns associated with the disruption of the el...
